Fiddle Leaf Fig
Fiddle Leaf Fig
You knew we'd meet eventually. I'm the Fiddle Leaf Fig - the most photographed plant of the modern era, the finishing touch of a thousand interiors, the reason 'statement plant' is a phrase. My huge, violin-shaped leaves (that's what 'lyrata' means) do things for a room that furniture simply can't.
Let's be honest with each other, because that's how this works: I have standards. I want a bright spot with plenty of indirect light (a little gentle morning sun is lovely), a drink only when my top few centimetres of soil are dry, and no draughts, no cold shocks, no weekly furniture rearranging. Meet those terms and I'm magnificent for decades. In my West African homeland I start life high in other trees' canopies before striking out on my own - ambition is in my sap.
What you'll get (no surprises):
- Large - 200mm nursery pot, approx 40-60cm tall
- X-Large - 250mm nursery pot, approx 50-80cm tall
I arrive in my grower's nursery pot, ready for a stylish upgrade.
Pets: iconic, not edible - my sap irritates mouths and tummies.
Keep my famous leaves dust-free and gleaming with The Good Plant Co Leaf Shine, give me the pot I deserve - the Jardin Terrazzo Pot in White - and if you're a true fan, the Fiddle Leaf Trinket Dish exists. You're welcome.
🌱 One tree planted with every order.

Care mode
Water regularly leaving the top of the soil to dry out in between waterings and prefers to be homed in a bright room with some direct sunlight. Remember to keep leaves dust free by wiping them regularly with our Leaf Shine and trim lower brown leaves to encourage new growth. Rotate the plant every week as the leaves bend towards the light and this plant looks best with an even display of leaves. Fertilise in warmer months.
Feeding your indoor plants
To get the best out of your indoor plants, you will need to feed them some food. The Good Plant Co Indoor Plant Food will provide all the nutrients they need to grow more leaves and help them stay strong. When the plant is actively growing during the warmer months, it needs a bit more food and water. During the slow growing season (cooler winter months) your plant doesn’t eat or drink as much (no extra winter layer of fat for these babies). Sometimes it’s ok to be a helicopter parent – respond to your plant’s needs. To keep the dust off your beautiful indoor plant leaves use The Good Plant Co Leaf Shine. Moral of the story, if it is growing new leaves then it will need more water and food!
We take great care in growing, packaging, and shipping your new plants so they’re ready to thrive in your home. This includes keeping them safe while they travel from our wholesale nursery to your doorstep.
