Hello, hello! I'm the Golden Cane Palm - sunny, feathery fronds on golden stems, bringing instant resort energy to living rooms, patios and pool corners. Here's the wild part: I'm one of the most-grown plants on the planet, yet my wild family survives only along one thin strip of coastal Madagascar. Global superstar, endangered homeland - plant one of me, and we plant a tree elsewhere too. Circle of life, administratively handled.
Bright, indirect light (some gentle sun is fine), regular drinks in the warm months, and I'll fountain upward and outward like a permanent holiday.

Key attributes
A popular small ‘elegant’ indoor palm that brings the tropics into the home. Slender leaves are bright green and pinnate divided (i.e. fishbone appearance). This palm is ideal to add a little height to your indoor plant range.
Your new Golden Cane Palm comes in two sizes and could grow up to approximately 2m in height.
X-Large: 1m-1.4m in height. Planted in a 200mm black nursery pot.
Care mode
Generally easy to grow and care for but avoid excessive bright light as leaves will bleach. Dry air and draughts will cause leaf tips to brown. During cooler winter months, reduce watering.
Feeding your indoor plants
To keep your Golden Cane Palm looking lush and tropical, you’ll want to give it the right fuel. The Good Plant Co Indoor Plant Food provides all the nutrients it needs to push out fresh fronds and stay strong. When your palm is actively growing in the warmer months, it will need a little more food and water. During the slower growing season (those cooler winter months), it won’t be as thirsty or hungry – no extra winter layer for this sun-loving beauty.
It’s totally fine to be a bit of a helicopter plant parent and adjust your care as needed. Keep an eye on how it’s growing and respond to its cues. To keep those elegant, arching fronds dust-free and glowing, use The Good Plant Co Leaf Shine. Moral of the story: if your Golden Cane Palm is growing new fronds, that’s your sign it needs more water and food!
We take great care in growing, packaging, and shipping your new plants so they’re ready to thrive in your home. This includes keeping them safe while they travel from our wholesale nursery to your doorstep.
