Baby Rubber Plant
Peperomia Obtusifolia
The plant, by the plant
Blink and you'll miss me - I'm the Baby Rubber Plant, small of stature, huge of personality. My thick, glossy little leaves store water like tiny canteens, which makes me one of the most forgiving plants you can own.
Bright, indirect light is my happy place (I'll tolerate less), and I'd rather be forgotten for a week than overwatered for a day. Ideal for desks, shelves and busy humans.
What you'll get (no surprises):
- Small - 110mm nursery pot, approx 5-10cm tall
- Medium - 140mm nursery pot, approx 15-30cm tall
I arrive in my grower's nursery pot, ready for a stylish upgrade. Native to Florida, the Caribbean and tropical America - hence the holiday attitude.
Pets: 100% pet-friendly. Chew away, Mittens (please don't though).
Collect my siblings - Peperomia Red Edge and the Variegated Baby Rubber Plant - and pop me in a Pierre Terrazzo Pot in Pink for maximum charm.

Care tips
Water regularly leaving the soil to dry out in between waterings. Because the Baby Rubber Plant has thick, succulent-like leaves it can easily withstand some neglect. Fertilise in warmer months.
Feeding
To get the best out of your indoor plants, you will need to feed them some food. The Good Plant Co Indoor Plant Food will provide all the nutrients they need to grow more leaves and help them stay strong. When the plant is actively growing during the warmer months, it needs a bit more food and water. During the slow growing season (cooler winter months) your plant doesn’t eat or drink as much (no extra winter layer of fat for these babies). Sometimes it’s ok to be a helicopter parent – respond to your plant’s needs. To keep the dust off your beautiful indoor plant leaves use The Good Plant Co Leaf Shine. Moral of the story, if it is growing new leaves then it will need more water and food!
