You know we make plant shopping easy! But we want to help you with your new fronds too! Today, talking all things tropical, we're giving you some essential tips on our most popular palms - the Lady Palm and one of our most popular plants in our family, the Bamboo Parlor Palm.

Tip 1: WATER MODERATELY

These palms enjoy a drink but in moderation! Give us a good soak once the top 3cm of soil have dried. Make sure when you water, they're in a safe place to drain freely. We recommend outside or in a shower or laundry tub. They don't want to be sitting in water! Since these palms are summer lovers they don’t require as much water in winter, sin the colder months reduce the H2O.

Tip 2STAY FRESH

No one likes being dusty after a big night out, your palms are the same! Too much dust on their leaves will reduce the photosynthesis of your plants - not a good thing. To avoid dusty leaves without over saturating them, mist their fronds with some water or you can use our The Good Plant Co Leaf Shine to make their leaves sparkle!

Tip 3: TRIM, TRIM, TRIM

These palms are growers, not showers... Trimming your palm can really help them flourish! Use our Bonsai Scissors to carefully trim off any dead or browning leaves. By doing this, you're ensuring your palm is putting all it's energy into growing new leaves!

Tip 4: LET THERE BE LIGHT!

No two plants are the same! While both palms have a lot in common the Lady Palm doesn’t mind sun-baking near a window. While on the other hand, the Bamboo Parlor Palm prefers to hang out in medium, indirect light. Sunlight is crucial for all plants so it's always best to check your palm is getting the light it needs.
