She's a lady - whoa whoa whoa - and something of a mystery. I'm the Lady Palm, and here's the strangest fact in my file: no botanist has ever found me growing truly wild. Every Lady Palm on Earth traces back through four centuries of Chinese and Japanese cultivation. I have no hometown; I have a lineage.

My fan-shaped fronds bring quiet, composed elegance, and my care is dignified simplicity: low to bright indirect light (I'm famously tolerant of dimmer rooms), regular water in summer, less in winter - I'll even forgive short droughts. I grow slowly and live long; consider me heirloom furniture that breathes.

What you'll get (no surprises):

  • Large - 200mm nursery pot, approx 40-50cm
  • X-Large - 250mm nursery pot, approx 50-60cm

Pets: 100% pet-friendly - a true lady is gracious to all.

Keep my fans dust-free with the occasional wipe and a feed of Indoor Plant Food, and seat me in a Pierre Terrazzo Pot in White.

🌱 One tree planted with every order.

Care mode

Generally easy to grow and care for but avoid excessive bright light as leaves will bleach. Dry air and draughts will cause leaf tips to brown. During cooler winter months, reduce watering. Fertilise in warmer months.

Feeding your indoor plants

To get the best out of your indoor plants, you will need to feed them some food. The Good Plant Co Indoor Plant Food will provide all the nutrients they need to grow more leaves and help them stay strong. When the plant is actively growing during the warmer months, it needs a bit more food and water. During the slow growing season (cooler winter months) your plant doesn’t eat or drink as much (no extra winter layer of fat for these babies). Sometimes it’s ok to be a helicopter parent – respond to your plant’s needs. To keep the dust off your beautiful indoor plant leaves use The Good Plant Co Leaf Shine. Moral of the story, if it is growing new leaves then it will need more water and food!

We take great care in growing, packaging, and shipping your new plants so they’re ready to thrive in your home. This includes keeping them safe while they travel from our wholesale nursery to your doorstep.
