Chinese Money Plant
Chinese Money Plant
Round leaves, round personality, allegedly round profits - I'm the Chinese Money Plant, symbol of good fortune and undisputed champion of cute. My coin-shaped leaves bob about on little stems like they're paying attention. (They are.)
My real origin story is better than folklore: a Norwegian missionary smuggled cuttings of me out of China's Yunnan province in 1946, and I spread across the world hand-to-hand between friends - the original pass-it-on plant. I still make pups generously; pot them up and continue the tradition.
What you'll get (no surprises):
- Small - 110mm nursery pot, approx 5-15cm tall
- Medium - 140mm nursery pot, approx 10-20cm tall
Bright, indirect light and water only when my soil dries out - too much love (water) is the one way to lose me.
Pets: completely pet-friendly.
House my future pups in a Micro Pot, and keep me lush with a splash of Indoor Plant Food. Feeling the prosperity theme? I gleam in a Laiton Brass Pot in Gold.
🌱 One tree planted with every order.

Care mode
Generally one of the easiest plants to grow indoors. Avoid windy positions and direct sunlight. Allow potting mix to dry out between watering. Turn the plant every second day as the leaves bend towards the light and this plant looks best with an even display of leaves.
Feeding your indoor plants
To get the best out of your indoor plants, you will need to feed them some food. The Good Plant Co Indoor Plant Food will provide all the nutrients they need to grow more leaves and help them stay strong. When the plant is actively growing during the warmer months, it needs a bit more food and water. During the slow growing season (cooler winter months) your plant doesn’t eat or drink as much (no extra winter layer of fat for these babies). Sometimes it’s ok to be a helicopter parent – respond to your plant’s needs. To keep the dust off your beautiful indoor plant leaves use The Good Plant Co Leaf Shine. Moral of the story, if it is growing new leaves then it will need more water and food!
We take great care in growing, packaging, and shipping your new plants so they’re ready to thrive in your home. This includes keeping them safe while they travel from our wholesale nursery to your doorstep.
