I'm Dieffenbachia Starbright — the plant that looks like it wandered through an artist's studio. My long, pointed leaves are splashed and speckled in cream, lime and deep green, with a different little masterpiece on every leaf. My idea of dressing up is growing another one.
My routine is simple: bright, indirect light and a drink when the top few centimetres of soil have dried. Let excess water drain away — my roots appreciate a drink without being left to soak.

- Large — 200mm nursery pot. Pair me with a Large Jardin in Black or a Large Pierre in White.
I arrive in my grower's nursery pot, ready for a stylish upgrade. Decorative pots are sold separately, and my leaf patterns and overall size will vary naturally.

Key attributes
Striking speckled variegation, unique narrow lance-shaped leaves, air-purifying, and brightens up indoor spaces.
- Medium light. Can tolerate shade.
- Water moderately, allow the top 3cm of soil to dry.
- Not so pet friendly.
Specification
Dieffenbachia Starbright is available in two sizes:
Medium: approximately 20–30cm tall, in a 140mm nursery pot. Choose a Medium Jardin or Medium Pierre decorative pot.
Large: approximately 40–70cm tall, in a 200mm nursery pot. Choose a Large Jardin or Large Pierre decorative pot.
Plant heights and leaf patterns vary naturally. Decorative pots are sold separately.
Care tips
Water consistently, allowing the top few centimetres of soil to dry out between waterings—Dieffenbachia Starbright enjoys a steady routine without soggy roots. During the growing season (spring and summer), feed monthly to encourage lush foliage and bold colour. In cooler months, reduce watering and feeding as growth slows.
Feeding
To get the best out of your indoor plants, you will need to feed them some food. The Good Plant Co Indoor Plant Food will provide all the nutrients they need to grow more leaves and help them stay strong. When the plant is actively growing during the warmer months, it needs a bit more food and water. During the slow growing season (cooler winter months) your plant doesn’t eat or drink as much (no extra winter layer of fat for these babies). Sometimes it’s ok to be a helicopter parent – respond to your plant’s needs. To keep the dust off your beautiful indoor plant leaves use The Good Plant Co Leaf Shine. Moral of the story, if it is growing new leaves then it will need more water and food!
