Ficus Bambino
Ficus Lyrata ‘Bambino’
The plant, by the plant
I'm the Bambino of the Fiddle Leaf family - same iconic violin-shaped leaves (that's literally what 'lyrata' means), packed onto a compact frame that fits apartments, desks and lives that don't include a warehouse conversion.
Everything people love about my big cousin, minus the ceiling negotiations and most of the attitude: bright, indirect light, water when my topsoil dries, and no draughty hallways, thank you.
What you'll get (no surprises):
- Medium - 140mm nursery pot, approx 20-30cm tall
- Large - 200mm nursery pot, approx 30-50cm tall
- X-Large - 250mm nursery pot, approx 50-80cm tall
I arrive in my grower's nursery pot, ready for a stylish upgrade.
Pets: sap's an irritant - keep me from nibblers.
Gloss me up with The Good Plant Co Leaf Shine and pop me in a Pierre Terrazzo Pot in Pink - compact icons deserve fun pots.

Care tips
Water regularly leaving the top of the soil to dry out in between waterings and prefers to be homed in a bright room with some direct sunlight. Remember to keep leaves dust free by wiping them regularly with our Leaf Shine and trim lower brown leaves to encourage new growth. Rotate the plant every week as the leaves bend towards the light and this plant looks best with an even display of leaves. Fertilise in warmer months.
Feeding
To get the best out of your indoor plants, you will need to feed them some food. The Good Plant Co Indoor Plant Food will provide all the nutrients they need to grow more leaves and help them stay strong. When the plant is actively growing during the warmer months, it needs a bit more food and water. During the slow growing season (cooler winter months) your plant doesn’t eat or drink as much (no extra winter layer of fat for these babies). Sometimes it’s ok to be a helicopter parent – respond to your plant’s needs. To keep the dust off your beautiful indoor plant leaves use The Good Plant Co Leaf Shine. Moral of the story, if it is growing new leaves then it will need more water and food!
