I'm the Little Gem - a genuinely dwarf southern magnolia with glossy emerald leaves backed in rich bronze velvet, and huge, lemon-scented white blooms that look almost too good to be real. Botanical flex: my family line is so ancient we predate bees - my flowers were designed for beetles, which is why they're built like teacups.
I'm an outdoor tree with indoor-plant manners: compact, slow, tidy. Full sun to part shade, moist well-drained soil, and I make a spectacular screening tree, feature tree or giant pot resident on a sunny patio.

Perfect for garden beds, feature planting, or large decorative pots, she brings year-round greenery and stunning seasonal blooms—adding elegance and charm to any outdoor space.

The Magnolia Little Gem is available in multiple sizes and makes a stunning feature for any garden, patio, or landscape design. Growing up to 4 metres tall over time, she’s perfect as a statement tree, a lush privacy screen, or an elegant potted feature.
Large: 40cm–60cm tall, comfortably settled in a 200mm black nursery pot.
X-Large: 70cm–90cm tall, flourishing in a 200mm black nursery pot.

Care tips
Water consistently, allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings—Magnolia Little Gem enjoys a balanced routine that avoids waterlogging. Hardy and adaptable, she thrives in well-drained soil and can handle both sunny and partially shaded positions. During the warmer months, when growth and flowering are at their best, a light feed with fertiliser will help promote lush foliage and those signature creamy white blooms.
