The plant, by the plant

Plot twist of the century (botanically speaking): for decades everyone said I was invented in a Perth backyard - a lucky Aussie hybrid. Genetics said otherwise. I'm the Xanadu, a genuine wild species from southern Brazil, and I've since been promoted out of Philodendron entirely into the genus Thaumatophyllum - which roughly means 'wonder leaf'. I don't make the rules; I just deserve them.

My deeply-lobed, wiggly leaves build into a dense, sculptural clump - no climbing, no totem, just architecture. Bright, indirect light, regular water while I establish, then I'm remarkably self-sufficient.

What you'll get (no surprises):

  • Large - 200mm nursery pot, a bushy, established clump

Pets: wonder leaves, not wander snacks - toxic if chewed.

Keep my many leaves gleaming with Leaf Shine and ground the greenery in a Jardin Terrazzo Pot in Black.
