Silver Lady Fern
Silver Lady Fern
I'm not just a fern - I'm a tree fern in training. I'm the Silver Lady, and unlike my shelf-dwelling cousins, I grow an actual miniature trunk over time, topped with a perfectly symmetrical crown of arching fronds that can spread nearly a metre. A palm-tree silhouette at fern prices, from the islands of New Caledonia, Fiji and Vanuatu.
Give me the tropical-island treatment: filtered light or a shaded patio, consistently moist soil, and humidity wherever possible - bathrooms and ferneries are my natural habitat. No harsh afternoon sun on my delicate fronds, please.
What you'll get (no surprises):
- Medium - 140mm nursery pot, approx 20-40cm
- Large - 200mm nursery pot, approx 40-60cm
Pets: 100% pet-safe - ferns don't do drama.
Keep my moisture steady with a Moisture Meter and let my crown arch over a Recycled Woven Basket.
🌱 One tree planted with every order.

Care mode
Keep the soil consistently moist but never soggy—Blechnum Silver Lady loves regular watering, especially in warm weather. Avoid letting the soil dry out completely, as this can cause frond tips to brown. During spring and summer, feed lightly every month to encourage lush, dense growth. In cooler months, reduce watering slightly as growth slows.
Feeding your indoor plants
To keep your Blechnum Silver Lady looking lush and vibrant, the right nutrients are essential. Feed with The Good Plant Co Indoor Plant Food every 4–6 weeks during the warmer months to support healthy, full fronds and steady growth. While naturally easy to care for, ferns appreciate consistent moisture and humidity—mist the leaves occasionally or place me near other plants to create a mini humid zone.
For an extra-polished look, gently clean the fronds with The Good Plant Co Leaf Shine to keep them healthy and fresh.
We take great care in growing, packaging, and shipping your new plants so they’re ready to thrive in your home. This includes keeping them safe while they travel from our wholesale nursery to your doorstep.
