ZZ Plant Jungle Warrior

$64.95

I'm the Jungle Warrior - the ZZ Plant's gothic sibling. My leaves emerge bright lime and then mature to a deep purple-black, which is exactly backwards from how most plants do colour, and precisely why collectors love me. Born from Zanzibar stock, dressed for the shadows.

My warrior credentials are inherited: chunky underground rhizomes store water like canteens, so I'll forgive weeks of neglect, dim corners and general chaos. Water only when my soil is fully dry - I'd genuinely rather be forgotten than fussed over.

What you'll get (no surprises):

  • Medium - 140mm nursery pot, approx 15-25cm

I arrive in my grower's nursery pot, ready for a stylish upgrade.

Pets: mildly irritating if chewed - best admired, not tasted.

Polish my armour with Leaf Shine and complete the moody palette in a Cooper Pot in Black.

🌱 One tree planted with every order.

Key attributes

The indoor plant brother to the ZZ Plant is known for its black leaves and very hardy nature. The large leaf spines grow upwards with smaller leaves along the stem. The new leaves are a bright green and will darken to black as they mature.

  • Medium light. Can tolerate shade.
  • Water sparingly, soil to be almost dry.
  • Not so pet friendly.

Your new Jungle Warrior comes in one size and could grow up to approximately 80cm in height.

Medium: 15cm - 25cm in height. Planted in a 140mm black nursery pot.

Please note our decorative pots are sold separately.

Care mode

Requires medium light and can tolerate some shade. Water regularly and allow the top of soil to dry out completely in between waterings. Fertilise in warmer months.

Feeding your indoor plants

To get the best out of your indoor plants, you will need to feed them some food. The Good Plant Co Indoor Plant Food will provide all the nutrients they need to grow more leaves and help them stay strong. When the plant is actively growing during the warmer months, it needs a bit more food and water. During the slow growing season (cooler winter months) your plant doesn’t eat or drink as much (no extra winter layer of fat for these babies). Sometimes it’s ok to be a helicopter parent – respond to your plant’s needs. To keep the dust off your beautiful indoor plant leaves use The Good Plant Co Leaf Shine. Moral of the story, if it is growing new leaves then it will need more water and food!

We take great care in growing, packaging, and shipping your new plants so they’re ready to thrive in your home. This includes keeping them safe while they travel from our wholesale nursery to your doorstep.
