The benefits of gardening are endless. Whether you're looking to improve your mental state or develop social skills, there's something for everyone! And with kids in particular having an opportunity to learn about plant care from their parents' hands-on experience working outside the house every day - it will be sure they grow into healthy adults who know how important healthful living really means.

The benefits of gardening for preschoolers go beyond just physical health; engaging in sensory experiences like listening to the stereo sounds of opening flowers can also enhance cognitive function. Older children can develop patience, while younger ones can explore their creativity through art. Assisting kids in growing their own plants is an excellent way for them to learn about care and maintenance. There's no better time than now to get outside with your little one during these school holidays and embark on hands-on learning adventures. After all, a healthy lifestyle begins at home.

Why not use the plant experience as a science experiment with different variables, for example: you play one plant a Taylor Swift song every day, you talk to another plant for three minutes a day and you take another for a walk around the house every day. Measure the results and see how they grow and change over the few weeks you have at home.

Another way to involve your kids in your love for plants is to get them involved in the process of buying the plant, helping them to choose a great place for it to fit into your new home, teaching them about the care that it needs and how to do that practically.

You could also use your new plant friends to maintain a routine throughout the holidays, this includes checking on the plant to see if it needs a water, rotating your plant so it’s getting enough sun on all sides and tracking it’g growth.
