The name says it all: Robusta. I'm the classic broad-leaf rubber tree - the biggest, glossiest, most generous leaves in the Ficus elastica family, and a constitution to match. While trendier plants come and go, I've been furnishing living rooms since your grandparents' era, and I intend to outlast the next trend too.

My needs are heroically simple: decent indirect light and a solid soak once my soil has dried out. That's the entire arrangement. In my Indian homeland, my species' roots get woven into living bridges that carry foot traffic for generations - 'robust' runs in the family.

What you'll get (no surprises):

  • Large - 200mm nursery pot, approx 30-40cm tall
  • X-Large - 250mm nursery pot, approx 40-50cm tall

I arrive in my grower's nursery pot, ready for a stylish upgrade.

Pets: my milky sap is an irritant - keep me from chewers.

Keep my big leaves gleaming with The Good Plant Co Leaf Shine and ground all that green in a Jardin Terrazzo Pot in Black.

🌱 One tree planted with every order.

Care mode

Feeding your indoor plants

To keep your Robusta Rubber Plant thriving, it's important to feed it the right nutrients. The Good Plant Co Indoor Plant Food is perfect for giving your plant the nourishment it needs to produce new leaves and stay healthy. During the warmer months, when your Robusta is actively growing, it will need more food and water. But as the cooler winter months arrive and growth slows, your plant won't need as much – no extra winter "fat" for this beauty! It's okay to be a bit of a helicopter plant parent, responding to its needs as they change. And to keep its large, glossy leaves looking their best, use The Good Plant Co Leaf Shine to remove dust and keep them shining. The key takeaway: if your Robusta Rubber Plant is producing new leaves, it’s a sign it needs extra food and water to fuel that growth!

We take great care in growing, packaging, and shipping your new plants so they’re ready to thrive in your home. This includes keeping them safe while they travel from our wholesale nursery to your doorstep.
